Connections. February 2022

We’re back!

It’s good to be back isn’t it? Well, we’re glad to be busy anyway. And it is really busy. Publishing is supposed to be at its busiest in December isn’t it? That’s what I was told anyway.

With the new year comes a new design for our newsletter. We’re ready to hit you with all the latest features, news, updates and marketing tips each month, to help you make the most of Glassboxx.

Thanks,
Finn

2. New sign ups

Secondly, we’ve been joined by swathes of quality publishers in the last few months. We’ve sailed past 100 publisher sign-ups, with titles selling into over 100 countries. We can share the details of some of these very soon.

3. Glassboxx Onboarding and Marketing

We’ve also set up an active onboarding and marketing team to support you through sign up, onboarding and beyond. Our marketing team is armed with tips to help you get the most out of our features in the Glassboxx Portal, and we can support your social media action in various ways.

Glassboxx app updates

Glassboxx just gets better and better. Here’s the latest app update and all the bits you need to know about…

PDF Compatibility

For many publishers, this feature update has been a big one. PDF compatibility is now available. This means you can now upload PDFs along with ePUBs for your eBooks. You simply upload the books with our uploaders in the Glassboxx Portal and select PDF as the eBook file type. Then, you’re away. Easy as that.

Marketing Highlights

King Kong Theory, Virginie Despentes – Fitzcarraldo Editions.

When you’ve got an audiobook as good as this, it’s good to beat your chest about it. We worked with Fitzcarraldo’s marketing team to create an audio preview tweet for Fitzcarraldo to send out on social channels. With over 4000 views in just a day, the twitter activity generated a lot of buzz.

It just goes to show how powerful it is to fit your marketing content to the product – when you’re talking about audio, do it with audio! Plus, it helps when the book is great.

Subscriptions with Trigger Hub

Subscriptions are all the range right now, and if packaging your content makes sense for your books, we’re ready to set it up with you. Trigger Hub, well-being publisher-turned-retailer, came to us with one such idea.

Trigger set up a range of packages made up of selected titles, available to readers on a monthly payment basis. Readers are billed each month and have access to the titles until they cancel. Trigger also put together some exemplary web pages for the packages. Contact us if you want to talk subscriptions.

Work with us to create audio previews. We can make it work for you. We’ll take the audio file, the timecode for the sample you want, and create a graphic to go in the video. Just get in touch and we’ll talk.
