Scaling with Trust: Growth Updates at Glassboxx

Communication, Integrity, Growth

Glassboxx is scaling quickly, and with that comes a responsibility to keep our delivery sharp, our support exceptional, and our trust and security posture non-negotiable. These changes aim to strengthen how we run the business without adding layers or slowing teams down. We have made a series of leadership and team changes, along with additional team members, that strengthen how we deliver, support customers, and protect what matters most: trust.

We are growing quickly across eCommerce, payments, fulfilment, customer service, digital delivery, and the hosting and security of the sites and services our customers rely on. We are also expanding our reach to include social eCommerce, managing TikTok, Meta and YouTube accounts for our publishers. With that growth comes a simple reality: we need governance that stays clear and decision-focused, and a security posture that is credible, repeatable, practical, and does not slow teams down.

Leadership updates:

Ian Smith will be moving from Chief Operating Officer to Chairman and Head of Trust and Security.

This role exists for two reasons:

  • Chair responsibilities: keeping board-level governance clear, supportive, and action-driven.
  • Trust and Security leadership: owning risk mitigation, assurance and security across the business, including PCI compliance, and strengthening website security, apps, and hosting assurance.

Ian has been central to how Glassboxx operates at pace while staying grounded. This shift formalises that strength and future-proofs it.

Tania Rumbold has been promoted to Chief Operations Officer and will continue to lead our operational engine, including office leadership, customer support, customer service, and HR.

Ruth Derbyshire, our Chief Product Officer, will now take on project delivery responsibilities in addition to her duties for product delivery and publisher success. This gives us truly end-to-end delivery: from roadmap to launch to customer outcomes.

Team promotions, changes and additions:

  • Sydney Allen has been promoted to Senior Manager, Product and Publisher Success.
  • Bernadette Lesueur has been promoted from Customer Services to Publisher Success as a Publisher Account Manager.
  • Alistair Tripp has been promoted to Facilities Director, covering our office, exhibitions, and travel.
  • Rory McNeill takes on new responsibilities as Content Strategist with a focus on content architecture, UX, UI, content policy and brand consistency.
  • Kate Cruickshank, Marketing Manager, will have an increased focus on pioneering creative marketing strategies, social media, and go-to-market plans for our publishers.
  • Laura Norwood has joined us as a Data Analyst and is working with our CFO, Julia Payen.
  • Tia Ward, Daniel Gillett-Burns, and Sophie Adnitt join our outstanding Customer Services team to support the growing number of clients joining Glassboxx, including end-user support across Glassboxx and TikTok.

Why these changes matter:

These are not changes for the sake of a new org chart. They are deliberate moves to align with the reality of our growth and to keep our delivery strong, our support exceptional, and our trust and security posture uncompromising.

Our ethos going forward:

As we head into this next phase, we are putting even more weight behind three things:

  • Communication: Clear, direct, frequent. Internally and externally.
  • Integrity: Do what we say we will do. Own issues fast. Fix them properly.
  • Growth: Not growth at any cost, but growth with standards, consistency, and customer outcomes at the center and promoting internal personal development for the internal Glassboxx team.
