All they need to do is download the Academic Reader apps (there will be links to these on your website and in purchase confirmation emails), and log in using the same email address they used when making their purchase. This will prompt a verification code, which they’ll receive to their email address, keeping everything secure. Their purchased books will be ready and waiting in the app.

Our eReaders are full of all the features academics and researchers expect: highlighting, bookmarking, adding notes, searching across the eBook. They can access their titles across devices and sync the eBook to continue where they left off. They can explore the DISCOVER section to see new titles on a range of topics from a growing community of participating presses.

That may be all they want to do, but the DISCOVER section offers you and other participating presses the opportunity to promote your content directly to readers. Glassboxx will facilitate the curation of banners and featured carousels that guide readers’ browsing experience, keeping this content refreshed and timely.

We’ve set up integrations with lots of print distributors used by publishers so that we can fulfil print books from the same checkout that we’ve built to fulfil digital books – the Glassboxx Cart. These integrations allow us to send order information from our cart, when a user purchases a print book, directly to the print distributor based in the user’s region. The order then gets sent straight to the user.

If there were digital titles in the order too, that order information would come to Glassboxx, as normal, and we would fulfil any digital titles through the Academic Reader app to that user’s email address. The Glassboxx Cart allows us to serve your customers wanting both print and digital formats in one checkout experience. When you build your package, you can choose to include ‘additional integrations to print distributors’ in order to fulfil print into multiple regions around the world. The Glassboxx Cart is designed to blend seamlessly into your website, so from the user’s perspective they’re still interacting with your site.

With merchant services offered as a core part of Glassboxx Academic, we would collect and process the payment for all sales transactions, and deal with all related currency issues, sales taxes, refunds and supporting customer service.
